The creators of Nintendo’s latest hand-held gaming console- the 3DS have taken the first step forward in further enhancing the 3D experience for it’s users, now instead of wearing the 3D goggles all the time (which proves quite a fuss for the people who by default need to wear a pair of spectacles), all you need to do is to simply stare at the screen like we did with the older consoles, but the difference lies in the 3D technology that these guys are using, they have made the 3D effect an in depth experience rather than the conventional pop out one!

The trick was to eliminate the goggles by providing a 3D effect that goes deep0 inside your screen rather than pop out of it, which is the complete opposite of the conventional mechanism. Unveiled at E3 a couple of days ago, this console will allow you to take 3D pictures, watch 3D movies and the most important of all- play 3D games but with the added advantage of wearing no glasses.

Unlike the rumors it sports a 3.5-inch 3D widescreen display and a lower square-shaped touchscreen on the bottom is in 2D. In addition to the theme of 3D, the new 3DS will sport a new analog stick, a 3D depth-control slider and have home and start buttons moved to the bottom of the unit.So all in all this is one super-cool consoles that is bound to send waves through the market!

You take one look at the picture and say it is a Nintendo Dual Screen hand held gaming console, but once you take a closer look you will realize that it is a new concept design of the Nintendo DS, inspired of course from the original but differing from it in several unique ways. Anthony Chang has come up with this new concept for Nintendo DS and it looks awesome.

The original Nintendo DS always followed the traditional clamshell design with two small LCD screens inside, whereas in this concept the designer has upturned the bottom shell which makes it more comfortable to hold on to, while it also gives the NDS a new look. The artist has used CAD Solidworks to illustrate the completely new concept design of the Nintendo DS. Take a look at the following pictures where you can compare the marker rendering of the original Nintendo DS and the newly conceptualized Nintendo DS…

Our Sony’s Play Station Portable is soon going to meet its competitor on 5th March 2010. Nintendo is leaving no stone unturned to show its superiority in gaming devices and here is its latest creation. You can call it as the daddy of hand held devices. This is “Nintendo DSi XL” which will not only give the fun of a normal consoles but even the compatibility and flexibility of a hand held devices.

Its size 161 x 91.4 x 21.2 mm is quite bigger then normal hand held device but who says the good things can’t always the best in small packages. This one offers even better features then the previous edition. Though it is not meant to replace the DSi but to be sold side by side and people will surely drool over this one.

The extra physical features offered by DSi XL are that its screens measure 4.2 inches diagonally which is 93% more than the previous DS editions. Its different color combination like Wine Red, Dark Brown and Natural White get thumps-up from my side, when it comes to aesthetic values. A bit bigger stylus has also been included like in all the DS consoles. Only difference is that this one’s stylus measures 129.3mm in length.

Its resolution is stunning 256×192 pixels giving pleasant picture quality. Its Software is also very commendable as it includes Dictionary and Camera Functions with many-many more features.

You can also download and play DSiWare. Getting 8/10 critics rating, it’s surely going to be a treat for all the gamers and I just can’t wait for 5th March.

You can see some eye catching but useful devices like Dsi Leather Case and Nintendo Wii Console redesign.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is one of the most famous games of recent times released by Square Enix for Nintendo DS. The action role playing game revolves around the life of Roxas and comes with amazing graphics, sound quality and storyline. The cool thing about this game is that the locales are influenced by many animated feature films like Aladdin, Beauty and the Nest and other such movies by Disney.

The game costs $33.99 on Amazon and would be released on September 29. This edition also allows you to experience the “Kingdom Hearts” storyline missing chapter. The game also has a multi-player mode which allows up to 4 people to play the game and control Organization III member. The game ahs already created a huge fan following who might actually want to play it on the DS.

Thus, the DS version of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days might take at least 2 weeks to be available to be played. The game can be as addictive as any other addictive substance as it has a great gameplay, amazing graphics, cool soundtracks and a terrific storyline. Talking about addiction, you could try the Nintendo DS lite Chocolate Case if you are addicted to cocoa. Even otherwise, nobody says “no” to chocolates.

Nintendo has recently announced their intention to introduce a Tetris game that is specially designed for the Wii and Nintendo DS. The game is a result of a joint venture between Tetris Online Inc. and Majesco.

In my opinion, this is one of the best things that could happen to the Wii (and the DS). Tetris is not only an incredibly popular game, but its one of the best mindless games that are around. You don’t have to remember a host of different commands and you most definitely don’t have to think too much to play the game.

Although there is much speculation about the kind of Tetris game that will be introduced into the Wii and the DS, nobody really has much of an idea. I’m sure it will be really innovative like all other Nintendo games have been in the past. Maybe along the lines of Tetris Friends? Maybe it will have a fancy interface like in Tetris Party or Tetris Splash. Who knows? All I can say is that it will most definitely be worth it. The new game is all set to launch in the spring of 2010 in North America, and it will probably take a little longer to get to other countries around the world.

I predict that this will be one of the more popular buys, especially if its on the wii, I’m sure it will be super duper fun. Keep watching out for more information on the game.

Gunpei Yokoi created the cult status achieving Game & Watch when he saw a bored man play with his calculator on the bullet train. The game became a cultural symbol and during the 80s, there wasn’t a person who did not play the game like it was the most important thing to do.

Now, Nintendo is going to release the game for the Nintendo DS and it would perhaps be available on DSiWare site and that too without any hitch. This means, you would not need to buy a number of games in order to collect points so that you could get the Game & Watch through the Club Nintendo.

Instead, you might be able to get these awesome games for about 2 dollars or something like that without having to try too hard. The game also is presented in a straightforward and authentic manner. The game is recreated on the top screen and on the bottom screen you could see the ubiquitous logo, to remi9nd you of all the glorious days of the 1980s when Game & Watch was totally big.

It would be really amazing to play the game on Nintendo DS, as vintage games still have a unique charm of their own in spite of all the modern and graphically rich games available so easily. We had earlier written about Game & Watch being available on Nintendo DS too, but we were not sure about its release in North America or elsewhere.

It’s official folks! Band Hero is going to be on the Nintendo DS Lite, and with it comes the ability to play along with your favorite tunes on your portable video game player. The big news of course is not Band Hero itself, but the peripherals that come along with it. That’s right, along with your Band Hero package, you will get the Drum Grip and the Guitar Grip.

With these awesome peripherals, you can play the drums to the tunes of around 30 songs including some huge artists like The Killers, Blink-182, Avril Lavigne and so many more. If you would rather sing along, then you can do that too. There is even a Guitar Grip that is available for the DS Lite.

This is what the Drum Grip looks like. Essentially it is made of rubberized silicon, and this piece simply fits on the DS Lite so that you can feel like you are playing the drums, which is a bit better than just using the touch screen.

Unfortunately, like with the Guitar Grip, the Drum Grip too does not fit on the DSi, which is a bit of a draw back, but apparently it is because it doesn’t fit on the system. If you are using a DS Lite however, the grip ensures that the pads of the drum slip over the face buttons and the d-pad to form a perfect fit, which effectively means a lot of fun. Another advantage of the Drum Grip is that it is bouncy, which means that you won’t have blistered thumbs at the end of a particularly heated session of Band Hero.

Sinning can never be complete unless chocolate is involved and when you’re spending all those hours playing games that aren’t R rated, you need something extra to get the pulse higher. And don’t people swear on the aphrodisiac ability of chocolates?!

Take your old Nintendo DS and make it absolutely unbearable to stay away from by giving it this yummy skin. There are a lot of cover cases for your gaming consoles but nothing that looks as irresistible as this. The NDS Lite Chocolate Case won’t add inches to your svelte figure and will make you the most wanted person on the block as well. You’ll find people want to play you more often and it will only cost you $10.

If you’re not a chocoholic but still have a thing for candy bars then the strawberry flavoured pink case would appeal to you. Head over to gadget4all and get yourself the calorie-free case for your Nintendo DS. For other choices, you could check the NSFW Nintendo DS pouch or the Super Mario Brothers DS Pouch.

Gameboy creator Gunpei Tokoi is best known for creating and developing Game & Watch Collection of handheld games which were earlier not available on the DSi. These historical games can now be played on the DSi in Japan. Moreover, the 9 announced classic titles wopuld be available for just 200 DSi points or at just $2 each. There is no information about these games being made available outside Japan but usually people find ways to procure games that are launched there somehow in America and Europe.

The games that would be part of the 9 announced titles are Ball, Vermin and Flagman which would be released on July 15th, Helmet and Chef on the 29t of July, Donkey Kong JR, Mario’s cement Factory, and Manhole which would be released sometime in August. Though only 9 have been promised you could expect games like Fire, Octopus and others because of their popularity.

It would be awesome to see these classic Nintendo games being made available on Nintendo DSi. I am sure there would be a number of takers outside Japan and that would force them to make an official launch or release abroad as well. They better know that gaming community outside Japan in Europe, America and elsewhere are larger and more enthusiastic about classic Game & Watch titles!

Other cool DSi developments were the Giant DSi Lego model and perhaps the Nintendo DSi phone.
