Edible Super Mario Mushrooms

There is something about food art that is quite intriguing, especially with Anna the Red, who makes some amazing pieces of art and puts them up with step by step instructions. First there was the Mario Mushroom from a Radish which looked like a really fun weekend project, or just general food decoration.

Gamers have long been under the impression that Link of Hyrule fame is a handsome young warrior in search of lovely Princess Zelda. The image of a warrior is correct, but the real Link is far from human form. Link is a magical character that becomes anyone you want him to be in the real world.

If there was any gorilla more famous than King Kong then it would have to be Donkey Kong. Who cares if he got stuck with a name that makes him sound like a hybrid animal; Donkey Kong is still one of our most favorite villains.

Incredible Hulk Wii Mod makes me Green with Envy

Just when you thought that modding was all about delivering a nice paint job, the green monster arises to prove you wrong, and this time I’m not talking about jealousy. Modder Joe’s alter must have some serious issues because it burst out of him for some 100 hours over several days to completely bash up his Wii mod, but we’re not complaining.

NES controllers may have given you loads of hours of gaming pleasure but not even something as familiar and fun as that can compete with shiny new gadgets. The controllers of the old days seemed to have faded off the minds of all gamers, especially with the advent of the Wii. Still, nostalgia can hit us hard every now and then.

If you think you are the geekiest of them all, you would be surprised to know that RestWillow is planning to create awesome felt NES gadgets for you, just like she did for her brother’s birthday. She created a fully handcrafted NES and controller in soft gray and black colours. The red buttons are only indications of the felt gadget to be slightly fiery otherwise it is one of the cuddliest gadgets have ever seen.

Whatever happened to the days when games were uncomplicated far from scary, a fun event for the whole family, something that wouldn’t give you nightmares? Gone are the days when exterminating the freaky alien in a game meant buzzing it into a cloud of dust and there was no sign of blood and guts.
