Astro Boy Movie Game for the Wii

Crime fighting robot, Astro Boy, became famous as the character signing the arrival of Japanese anime but it was his story of being abandoned by his maker and eventual adoption by Professor Ochanomizu that makes him special for most, Frankenstein-style. Astro Boy’s battles with evil robots and aliens while trying to save mankind has been going on for decades and will soon begin on the Wii.

The Astro Boy film from Imagi Studios is set to release in October of this but what would really set the adrenaline going for gamers is the fact that High Voltage Software and D3Publisher is planning on bringing Astro out on video game. Astro Boy has already been in video games on Konami and PS but the new versions to be released on Wii, PSP and PS2 will follow along the storyline of the to-be-released movie.

There isn’t much information about the game yet but it would definitely involve a lot of alien butt-kicking and robot-killing. It would be cool if the game also featured Astro’s younger siblings but we have many days to wait to find out if that is happening.
